16+ Provision
Provision in the sixth form is especially strong.
(OFSTED - Outstanding 2024)
Our 16+ programme (Key Stage 5) is situated in Broomfield House on the secondary school campus, though it is separate from key stage 3 and 4.
We offer personalised bespoke study programmes tailored to each student’s skills, interests, abilities, and existing qualifications. Alongside a broad and balanced academic experience, we provide a robust enrichment programme featuring activities such as mountain biking, bowling, and kayaking. Additionally, we offer link worker support, the Duke of Edinburgh Award to further enrich our students' educational and personal development and life skills, including preparation for the driving theory test and some driving lessons.
Each student’s pathway is designed to ensure they gain the knowledge and skills needed to thrive, stay resilient, and find fulfilment in their future endeavours.
We warmly invite prospective students to visit our sixth form to explore first-hand how we can support their unique educational journey.
I feel that Meadows has been my second home for the last eleven years. I have felt safe, heard and understood. Meadows' staff have always guided me to take new opportunities to develop my skills and abilities, including helping me get into college. I have just achieved Level 3 Car Mechanics, and I will always be grateful to Meadows”.

Annual Careers Week
Careers Week is a chance for pupils to explore what they might enjoy doing in the future. Meeting people, hearing about their working lives and asking questions can help pupils discover new interests, build confidence and find out about work experience.
This November, our visitors will share their experiences of music and DJing, cooking, chocolate making, TV journalism, aviation, train driving, the Fire Service and Army careers. Pupils will also explore computers, technology and apps, beauty, gym and personal training, construction with Fernham Homes, running a pub, and working for themselves in advertising and marketing. We’ll welcome the Repair Café to talk about lifetime roles, an executive chef from the I’ll Be Mother Group, and a local businessman to discuss first impressions and making the most opportunities.
