PE and Sports Grant
The Government provides additional sport and PE funding through the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) for schools to make improvements in the provision of PE and sport for students of primary age so that they develop healthy lifestyles.
This funding is to benefit primary school aged students.
Meadows School's allocation for the 2021-22 academic year is: £14,416
Funding will be received in several parts during the academic year
It is intended to be spent on (circumstances permitting):
- Different pe and sports activities to introduce students to new experiences and skills including dance lessons and horse riding
- Additional equipment to assist with student co-ordination, motor skill development and development of student abilities
- Obie interactive system
- Swimming instructor training for a teacher
- Personal trainer group sessions - agility and fitness
Meadows School's allocation for the 2020-21 academic year was: £15,000
This funding was received in 2 parts - November 2019 and March 2020
This was spent on:
- Different pe and sports activities to introduce students to new experiences and skills
- Additional equipment to assist with student co-ordination, motor skill development and development of student abilities
- Personal trainer group sessions - agility and fitness
