Governing Body
The role of the governing body is to provide strong strategic leadership and support to Meadows School in partnership with Barnardo's and the school's leaders. We ensure that Meadows School meets the changing needs of students, parents and carers, local authorities and legislation. Within this, our specific aims are to;
- Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Hold executive leaders to account for educational and pastoral performance

- The 16+ provision has been redeveloped and extended to support our 16+ students further;
- Introduction of remote learning processes during the pandemic provided fresh insights into benefits of a various learning approaches;
- Recent curriculum changes include a range of enrichment activities
- Therapeutic support has increased through a growing specialist staff team; new facilities and equipment including an outdoor gym and trim trail; a range of sensory interventions as well as ongoing outreach activities.
