Pastoral
Link Workers
Every pupil at Meadows has a dedicated link worker who knows them well and provides consistent pastoral support both in and beyond the classroom.
Link workers play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, resilience and independence. They create opportunities for new experiences – from external courses and educational visits to independent travel training – that broaden horizons and prepare pupils for life beyond school.
Regular link work sessions give pupils a trusted space to share their views, celebrate successes and work through any challenges together.
The staff’s personalised, nurturing approach helps build trust. Most pupils increase their time in school so that they soon attend very regularly. This shows that pupils feel increasingly safe in school. (Ofsted 2024)
