Your Journey through Meadows
All Meadows pupils learn together on one school site, strengthening relationships and creating a shared sense of belonging.
Our school is organised into three phases: Lower, Middle and Upper School, each led by a Phase Lead. This is instead of a Key Stage Manager structure, giving staff a broader view of each pupil’s learning, wellbeing and development as they move through Meadows.
Alongside our three-phase structure, our dedicated Primary and 16+ provisions retain their distinct identities.
Progression between phases takes account of pupils’ readiness, development and individual needs, alongside their age. This gives pupils time to build secure foundations, grow in confidence and independence, and prepare for their next steps.
Our Phase Leads work closely with staff across the school to connect academic learning with social and emotional development. Consistent routines, expectations and support help pupils feel secure, with carefully planned transitions between phases.
Younger pupils enjoy a dedicated, nurturing primary area with its own secure entrance, garden and outdoor play space.
Our Hub offers a separate, supportive environment for pupils rebuilding confidence in school life.
Our 16+ provision helps students prepare for life beyond Meadows, with a focus on further education, employment and independence, including opportunities to attend college alongside their school programme.
Small classes, specialist teaching and therapeutic support remain at the heart of Meadows, alongside opportunities to learn, explore and grow across our grounds and ancient woodland.
