Food Studies is a subject where many of our pupils truly shine.

It builds confidence, independence and creativity – as seen during Careers Week, when students of different ages worked with a visiting head chef and produced dishes of genuine restaurant quality.

“I had the pleasure of demonstrating how to prepare and cook a chicken dish with the students and Azzo last year. The students were brilliant and made my day a joy. The kitchen was clean, organised and well-equipped, allowing all the students to have a go and demonstrate to me the food they love to cook with the ingredients provided. It was a brilliant day, one I wouldn’t hesitate to do again. Lovely mature students, great environment, and treated to some brilliant coffee! ”
