Meadows School is delighted to announce a new collaboration with Rainbow Pony Rides, a Kent-based charity that provides children with the opportunity to meet, groom and ride specially trained ponies in a safe and supportive environment. The charity works with disadvantaged and seriously ill children, helping them build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of spending time with animals.

The partnership will initially be offered to pupils in Key Stage 2, providing an exciting enrichment opportunity that complements Meadows’ commitment to learning beyond the classroom. Through hands-on experiences with the ponies, pupils will have the chance to develop communication, responsibility and confidence while enjoying time outdoors in a unique learning environment. This aligns closely with Meadows School’s approach to providing a broad and enriching curriculum that supports personal development alongside academic progress.

Looking ahead, both organisations are keen to explore further opportunities for collaboration, including potential work experience placements for older students. These opportunities could provide valuable insight into animal care, volunteering and the day-to-day running of a charitable organisation, helping young people develop employability skills and prepare for future pathways. Meadows School already places a strong emphasis on vocational learning and work experience, making this a natural extension of the school’s wider careers and enrichment programme.
