Break Room Revamp!

The Break Room was always well used by young people — in the mornings, at lunch, for link working, and for bespoke sessions throughout the day. However, because it didn’t have a dedicated person to look after it, the space often felt drab, tired, and a little uninviting.
That all began to change thanks to the support of the Southborough Lions’ fundraising, the incredible volunteering efforts of Bailey Garner (a multidisciplinary construction company), the backing of school staff, the drive of our Link Governors, and the fantastic energy of our maintenance team, led by Steve. With everyone’s hard work, the room was prepped, painted, and refreshed, transforming it into a warm, clean, and welcoming space for pupils to enjoy.
And the progress hasn’t stopped there - the next steps include bringing in new furniture! With the creative guidance of our arts team and the talents of our students, we’ll also design and paint vibrant mural boards to add colour and life. Step by step, the Break Room is becoming a calm yet lively multipurpose space — a place pupils and staff can enjoy throughout the school day.
