Celebrating Student Success: Qualifications /  Results 2025-2026

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our students following a successful year of qualifications at Meadows School. Students demonstrated determination, resilience and commitment across a wide range of academic, vocational and life-skills qualifications, achieving positive outcomes that reflect both their hard work and the dedication of our staff team. 

Strong Academic Success

Our students achieved excellent outcomes in GCSE and English qualifications, with several courses recording a 100% pass rate. Highlights included:

• 100% pass rate in GCSE Mathematics, with all students achieving a grade 4 or above
• 100% pass rate in iGCSE English Literature, with all students achieving a grade 4 or above
• 100% pass rate in iGCSE English Language, with 67% of students achieving a grade 4 or above
• 100% pass rate in GCSE Citizenship
• 100% pass rate in GCSE Art
• 75% pass rate in GCSE Biology

These results demonstrate the determination of our students and their ability to succeed in nationally recognised qualifications. 

Functional Skills Achievements

Many students also achieved success through Functional Skills pathways, developing essential English and Mathematics skills that will support them in further education, employment and independent living.

Notable achievements included:

• 70% pass rate in Functional Skills, English Reading Level 1
• 55% pass rate in Functional Skills, English Writing Level 1
• 100% pass rate in Functional Skills, English Speaking, Listening and Communication Level 1
• Successful achievement of Functional Skills qualifications in both English and Mathematics at Levels 1 and 2. 

Vocational Learning Success

Our vocational curriculum continues to provide students with valuable opportunities to develop practical skills and prepare for future employment pathways.

Students achieved success in qualifications including:

• BTEC Home Cooking Skills Levels 1 and 2
• Open Awards Skills in Further Learning and Employment (Catering and Hospitality)
• Construction
• Land Based Studies
• Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Professional Cookery
• Hairdressing
• Creative Media Production and Technology

Several students also achieved Merit grades in vocational programmes, demonstrating high levels of skill and commitment in their chosen areas. 

Wider Achievement

Alongside formal qualifications, students completed a significant number of AQA Unit Award Scheme certificates across a broad range of subjects.

These awards recognise individual achievements, celebrate progress and help students build confidence through success.

During the year, students completed awards from pre-entry level through to Level 1, reflecting the personalised learning journeys that take place across the school.

At Meadows School, we believe that every qualification achieved represents far more than an examination result. Each certificate reflects perseverance, personal growth and the development of skills that will support our students in the next stage of their education, employment or adult life.
