During the sessions, students learned how to check engine oil levels, identify key parts of an engine, and understand the importance of routine vehicle maintenance. They also had the opportunity to put a vehicle on jacks safely, inspect the underside of a car, and practise changing a wheel.

Health and safety was a key element of the programme, with students learning about safe working practices, the correct use of tools and equipment, and the importance of maintaining a safe workshop environment.

The experience provided an excellent introduction to the motor vehicle industry, helping students develop practical skills, increase their confidence, and explore future education and career opportunities.
