KS2 Trip to the Amelia Scott
Fossil experience
On Friday 14th February KS2 students visited the Amelia Centre in Tunbridge Wells and experienced hands on learning about local fossils. Some were ammonites which showed that this part of England was once under water - a great link to our current Oceans and Seas topic. We also looked at bones from dinosaurs found in this area and even identified some fossilised dung! Thank you to Claire Chard, Education Office at The Amelia, for a wonderful visit and for giving us some 'dinosaur eggs' to excavate back at school.
