Meadows School is run by the children's charity Barnardo's.

Dr Thomas Barnardo set up a 'ragged school' in 1867 to help disadvantaged children.

Barnardo's continues to protect, support and nurture the UK's most vulnerable children and helps to bring out the best in children no matter who they are or what they have been through. Barnardo's is the oldest and largest children's charity in the UK.
