Link Workers

Every pupil at Meadows has access to a dedicated pastoral team who will get to know them well and provide consistent pastoral support, offering an additional point of connection between home and school and any outside agency.
 
The Pastoral Team play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, resilience and independence. They create opportunities for new experiences – from external courses, work experience and educational visits to independent travel training – that broaden horizons and prepare pupils for life beyond school.
 
The offices of the Pastoral Team offer respite and a safe place for students who feel they need additional pastoral support, a trusted space to share their views, celebrate successes and work through any challenges together.
 

The staff’s personalised, nurturing approach helps build trust. Most pupils increase their time in school so that they soon attend very regularly. This shows that pupils feel increasingly safe in school. (Ofsted 2024)
